TORI AMOS EARNS THIRD PLATINUM AWARD WITH "BOYS FOR PELE"; SRO "DEW DROP INN TOUR WRAPS AFTER NINE MARATHON MONTHS

"BOYS FOR PELE," the third solo recording from Tori Amos, is the Atlantic Records artist's third consecutive RIAA platinum album. Produced by Amos, "BOYS FOR PELE" was released in January 1996 and debuted at #2 on the national album chart. Tori previously earned RIAA platinum awards for "LITTLE EARTHQUAKES" (1992) and "UNDER THE PINK" (1994).

Following the release of "BOYS FOR PELE," Amos embarked on a marathon concert tour. The SRO "Dew Drop Inn" itinerary began in Europe in February and continued across North America, wrapping up in early November.

"BOYS FOR PELE" has yielded special EP versions of four album tracks: "Caught A Lite Sneeze," "Talula," "Professional Widow" (whose EP hit #1 on Billboard's "Club Play" chart), and "Hey Jupiter." In addition, Amos's version of Bruce Springsteen's "I'm On Fire" is included on the recently released Atlantic collection, "VH1 CROSSROADS," which consists primarily of previously unreleased live recordings from the VH1 program.

In other Tori news, the Igloo Records label -- formed by Amos and her manager, Arthur Spivak -- made its premiere earlier this year with the self-titled debut album from the Los Angeles-based band Pet (released via TAG/Atlantic).
